My husband is a minimalist when it comes to shoes for our son. He would prefer that our son go barefoot everywhere but I worry about him stepping in things that wont hurt but are annoying (gum and such) as well as the things that can hurt like glass, snakes (we live in snake-ville) and other such hazards. Our son didn't really fit in the Robeez soft soles anymore. They cuff around his ankle too tightly now that he has grown so large. We LOVED Robeez and were looking forward to Preschoolians as they look like "normal" shoes and have cute designs.
LORD, WAS FINDING THIS COMPANY A CURSE!
My husband and I ordered our first pair of Preschoolians on June 9th 2011 for our son's June 30th birthday. According to their website we should have received them in time. After paying almost $50 we wait...
A couple of days after we ordered we saw a shipping label was created, seems like we are on track...
Uh Oh, on the 15th of June the shipping label has been voided. So I call for the first time. I am told the label was misplaced and they will create a new one in short time.
On my son's birthday, three weeks after my order I call for an update. They lost paperwork and are reprinting the work order and it should be shipped in a weeks time...
We start calling every week and get different excuses and a similar answer everytime, "They should be there in about a week"...
WELL on September 1st, 2011 I receive this email...
Now, since I haven't seen received the shoes I am now not just mad but LIVID! I sent this response...
WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE SHOES. We have had an EXTREMELY difficult time trying to get straight answers from your company and are about to start a massive blog attack about our experience with your company. We have been told for the last TWO MONTHS that the shoes would be here in a week... We call every week and get the same response ("They should be there in a week or so"). My husband and I are so upset that we have talked about it to our barefoot running group, who have children themselves and are minimalists as well. They are refusing to purchase from you and are telling their friends and family (Our group has 20+ members). We have NO INTENTION of ordering anything from your company EVER AGAIN! We have no idea how you stay in business with such AWFUL customer service. We have received our money back and were still promised the shoes and as of yesterday THEY STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED! We ordered these shoes on June 9th for our sons June 30th birthday. It is now September 1st. What in the world are you doing??? I can't think of anything more to say other than, I wish I had found http://preschoolianssucks.blogspot.com/ before we tried to deal with your company.
Thanks for nothing
(The above mentioned website is ANOTHER blog talking about this horrible company.)

This is what their website looks like on the day I received the previous email;
I pulled up the date and time window so that you see it is September 1st (Almost three months since the order was placed). As you can see they are STILL processing the order and when I called today the lady came up with a bunch of excuses as if she works for a third party company that has nothing to do with Preschoolians other than answering calls, which is not the case.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS "COMPANY"!!!
Save yourself a bunch of hassle and go with someone else!!!
I am in the same exact situation - I am furious! They even had the nerve to send me an evaluation of the product! I haven't even received the product!!! It's been 2 months! They have issued a FULL CREDIT and said that they are still going to send the shoes as a "gift" but I'm not holding my breath. The website says it's still processing....
ReplyDeletePlease don't hold your breath... as you can see I ordered my sons shoes on June 6th and it is now September 23rd and they STILL HAVEN'T SHIPPED. I was on the phone with a "manager" that spoke very broken English and she SWORE the shoes would ship in "a couple of days"... that was four or five days ago. Spread the word about these awful practices!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay it is now two days until Halloween (Almost 5 months since we ordered the shoes) and they have finally shipped the shoes... TO THE COMPLETE WRONG SIDE OF THE COUNTRY! I don't know why I am surprised...
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI had the same bad experience too and i think we are not the only one!
I ordered 3 pairs of shoes for my daughter in june 2011. I emailed them 1 month and a half later to ask them when they will send the shoes and they said in one week.
I waited more than a month and i called them. Nobody answered then we thought that the company closed and kept our money!
Finally we talked to Joana and she said they had problems with their chinese provider and that we will reeive the shoes in one week.
We waited 2 weeks and no shoes!
So we decided to call them again and ask for a refund. They refunded in 3 days and said that we will receive the shoes as a gift.
It was in october and we are still waiting...
BTW I am from France
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised! Spread the word so others don't end up in our situation! Let me know when you receive your "gift" so other readers can see how long it takes to actually receive their merchandise. FYI, I have never been to France but I really want to visit eventually. The only place I have been outside the states is Ireland.
ReplyDeleteHave you gotten your shoes yet? I'm just curious. We had a similar experience last fall (ordered shoes in September, got them late November after a refund). Despite the frustrations, I decided to order a second pair this winter. ARGH! Four months after placing the order, I am STILL getting the runaround. WTF? I really don't understand how this company is still in business at all. Do you have any tips on how to get through to someone who won't lie to you on the phone?
ReplyDeleteI did receive my shoes about five months after I ordered them. As I said they shipped them to the wrong address (wrong state as I moved clear across the country) even thought I called them TWO MONTHS before they shipped them and told them I had moved. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is call and ask to speak to a manager (which wont happen because they are always CONVENIENTLY away from the office). I threatened them with this blog too and they still didn't care. I recently bought some converse for my son, not quite what we were looking for but it was worth settling to not have to deal with these morons yet again.
ReplyDeleteI have the same experience with this company. I placed the order on February 22nd and after FOUR months the shoes are still not shipped. They promised a refund in May but I have never received it. Now they even stop responding to complaints (it doesn't make much difference as all they say is lie anyway).
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that is different... I received my refund and they never stopped answering my calls even though their answers were full of lies. I am sorry that you haven't at least gotten your money back, you might see if your local news station has an investigative reporting system where they look into their watchers complaints, that should aid in you getting your money back and it will let more and more people know about their shady practices, since they just seem to be getting worse...
